Bought this 1 week ago, already had serviceman out 2 times - deli drawer falls off track, door hinge very noisy. Poor design, due to light which takes up room on the top shelf. Can't place anything high on top. Poor quality plastic drawers.

I'd give this refrigerator higher marks as I do like the design of the interior and exterior, but it is very noisy and the freezer grows icicles in one spot by the top of the door. We've had this for 3 months.

I was disappointed that there was a dent in my freezer door and the light did not work in the freezer when the refrigerator was delivered. Two weeks later the refrigerator started to fail. The freezer was freezing up and the lower compartment was not cold at all! A repair man came out and replaced my door and only tighten the freezer bulb.(that was all it needed) The other issues were caused by a loose rubber gasket on the bottom of the frig door. The repair was great and the frig is now working properly. But really- this is the kind of product we can expect new from the factory?

The WORST customer service I've ever encountered

Frig sent with wrong ice maker kit and it took 4-5 phone calls to get the correct kit sent to me 2 weeks later. They did send the wrong kit, again, before they sent the correct one. Freezer air leak causes ice build up on inside of freezer door and gasket. Team who installed the ice maker said to call and get a new frig, as they can not fix the leak. I again called and spoke with Whirlpool in Tennessee. I was told the service provided who might be able to fix this is too busy to take any new calls, so I was told my problem was sent to the Whirlpool resource desk. I was told they take 3-5 days to call me back, but that they were backed up, so it may take even longer, and that is only to hopefully schedule a service call to fix a problem with a brand new frig. Ice maker can be heard throughout the entire house as it makes ice. "light" in frig portion is equal to one match in a dark room. Just enough light to allow me to find a flashlight.

I bought this a few weeks ago. There are some things I do not like right off the bat. Ordered it online , which is a big no no for me. First of all had issues with delivery they never installed the ice maker. The deli drawer does not sit right in the slots and does not shut all the way, the ice maker leaves a chemical , plastic taste in the ice cubes, no matter what I do. I washed in dawn liquid and still same. The smell is in the whole freezer. The top shelf where you would put milk , is not tall enough to put it. Otherwise those things. It looks like your average fridge. The freezer also has glass shelf in which I am not happy about because everything that has a paper or cardboard sticks frozen to bottom.

Our old Samsung bit the bullet after about 10 years with a repair cost of half the cost about half way. Piece of garbage. We replaced it with the Maytag. So far, best we've bought. We love the LED lights in the refrigerator and freezer. Plenty of room, too. The only drawback are the side slots. Personally, I'd prefer handles, but I can add those myself.

Maytag 21cf MRT311FFFH (white-no ice maker) - Works so far. I have lost faith in modern appliances. This Maytag replaced a Whirlpool 18cf frig which lasted just short of 2 years. Whatever happened to refrigerators that lasted 20-30 years? Anyway, I removed the deli tray totally–just took up too much room. This frig has a larger freezer than the one I replaced, which I didn't need. My error. Thus there's really not much more room in the refrigerator part than the 18cf one. I can't give it more than 3 stars since I just don't know how long this one will last–apparently there is a manufacturing connection between Maytag and Whirlpool. If it makes it to 5 years, I'll come back with a higher rating.

We tried for 4 months to get this model w/back orders each time, until one day I checked for it and low and behold it could be delivered in just 4 days. Done as stated; however the delivery man was to install ice maker to fridge and the wrong one was delivered according to him, so I had the inconvenience of getting credited back for the price and had to pay someone to install the correct one to fridge, that was unfortunate and considered Home Depots fault, not mine. They told me they could get it installed for a fee, but did not know for sure when. I pursued it on my own and have been satisfied other than that experience and would order it again.....

I like the light in the freezer , but the lighting in the fridge section does not seem adequate. The layout of the shelves does not allow for taller bottles etc to fit ,except in the door. It is a quiet operating fridge,and seems to work fine otherwise.

I got this refrigerator about a month ago as a replacement for one that leaked. This is REALLY nice. I like the light in the freezer, first time I've ever seen that. It also has a tray the width of the refrigerator for lunch meat, cheese, etc. It also has plenty of door space. I recommend it.

Bought this to go in my new kitchen. Fit nicely into the space we had available. We like the clean look of the doors and are delighted with the lighting, especially in the freezer. It would be nice to have one half of one shelf taller--perhaps the cold-cut drawer could go only half-way across. But this is not a big deal. We're very happy with our purchase. It does its job quietly and well--what more could one ask of a fridge.

I would not have purchased it if not for the 10 yr. Warranty. This is because the only place to put tall things is on the door because of the top drawer goes all the way across the width of the frig. It is nice, but takes away a lot of available shelf height. A different brand had one that took up only half of the width of the frig, and also would slide so that you could use it on the right, left, or any place in between.This allowed for more 1/2 more available shelf height in half of the frig. I would have purchased that one if not for your warranty...and even then I really had a hard time deciding. I have removed the drawer. Milk didn't last as long on the door, and we have no kids. I would recommend the frig for the warranty, but give reservations for the drawer and lack of shelf height availability with the drawer in the frig.

Purchased 2 months ago, so far no complaints. Needed fridge to fit in somewhat of a hallway so the absence of handles sticking out provides more space. Nice to have a real freezer shelf and the freezer light is a plus. Pull out drawer being the entire width does not allow for taller items on second shelf like a 1/2 width drawer but does have ample door space for standup items. Runs very quiet. Overall happy with purchase.

Cons:
Bins are flimsy
Drawers don't slide smoothly
Tall items like milk have to be in the door, unless you move shelves to a somewhat inconvenient arrangement
Hum of motor is a bit louder than expected
It also makes sighing or soft moaning noises sometimes. They sound eerily lifelike.
Maybe it's depressed?

i absolutely love the light in the freezer compartment! overall, i love this new fridge, it's got terrific space in it. i specifically bought this because it had the largest freezer space available from all that i looked at. i do a lot of cooking ahead so i will always have a good meal ready & this holds all that i put up for the winter better than any other fridge i've had. and, it's so quiet you don't know it's running! love that!
